Loretta Mae Brown, 85, of Greenup, IL passed away at 5:49 pm on May 30, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at her home.
Graveside funeral services will be at 11:30 am on Thursday June 6, 2024, at Bell Cemetery rural Greenup, IL. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL is assisting the family.
Loretta Mae was born on October 18, 1938, in Greenup, IL to Jesse Cleo & Lida (Black) Tipsword. She married Walter F. "Brownie" Brown Jr. on November 5, 1955, and he preceded her on May 28, 2016. Survivors include her daughters Karen (David) Yocom, Shirley Brown, and Pamela (Carey) Brandenburg; son Steve (Zhonna) Brown; brothers Dickie (Sandy) Tipsword and William Tipsword; sisters Bonnie Maxine Tiffin and Barbara Ellen Hanley; grandchildren Matthew Brown, Jered Brown, Jordan Hennings, Heather Brown (Michael Sanger), Lee Derek Brandenburg and Zachary Brandenburg (Laurel Light); she also is survived by many nieces and nephews.
