Stanley E. Cowger, 67, of Neoga, IL passed away at 3:15 pm on June 12, 2024, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday June 19, 2024, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo. There will be a one-hour visitation beginning at 1:00 pm until service time at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Drummond Cemetery in rural Neoga with Military Rites by the Cumberland County Veterans.
He was born on April 25, 1957, to William and Nellie (Williams) Cowger in Mattoon, IL. He married Becky VanScyoc on June 21, 1980. He is survived by loving wife Becky; sons Rocky Cowger (Susan Jackson) and Todd (Sarah) Cowger; daughter K.C. Cowger (Ryan Himes); brother John Cowger; sister Shirlyn VanScyoc; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and 7 great- great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Billy Cowger, Tony Cowger and Albert Cowger; and sister Diane Rostek.
