Joyce M. Fearheiley, 86, of Decatur, IL. passed away at 1:06 pm on Sunday July 28, 2024, at the Vonderlieth Living Cener in Mt. Pulaski, IL.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, August 3, 2024, in the Toledo Cemetery. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo is assisting the family.
Joyce was born on August 12, 1937, to Ed and E'Lois (Markwell) Lashmet. After attending St. Mary's College, she married Richard Fearheiley on March 15, 1958. They had three children: Michael (Daisy Fearheiley), Douglas (Melanie Ishmael), Joni Fearheiley, five grandchildren: Gaelle Fearheiley, Benjamin Toney (Christy), Angela Fearheiley (Ryan), Jessica Toney, and Kane Allen Ishmael Fearheiley, and one great grandchild: Everley.
Joyce dedicated 30 years of her career as a teacher's aide in the Decatur School District, where she made a significant impact working with children with special needs. Her unwavering commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment was eviden
