Karen Sue Carr, age 72, passed away at 4:25pm on February 19, 2025, at Cumberland Rehab & Rehabilitation in Greenup, where she had lived the last two years.
A Celebration of Life honoring Karen Sue will be held at the Toledo Christian Church on Saturday, March 22 at 11:30am, with a catered meal to follow. The family requests everyone to dress casually. The Barkley Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
She was born November 12, 1952, in Greenup, and was the second of seven children born to David (Herman) and Marjorie Kite Carr. Karen was born with a broken body, cerebral palsy, which would not allow her to fully walk or talk. Her muscles were stiff, and movements for labored her entire body. Those difficulties never prevented her however from having a great joy for life, people, her family, and for Jesus. Her communication skills were the most effective in our family.
