Albert J. Sowers, age 84, of rural Jewett, IL, passed away at 1:50 AM on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his wife and family and we rejoice that he is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Jewett Community Church in Jewett, IL. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Jewett Community Church. Viewing is also available one hour before the funeral service begins. Burial will be in the Island Creek cemetery in rural Montrose, IL.
Albert was born on February 17, 1941, in Jasper County to parents Otis "Joe" and Evalena (Huisinga) Sowers. Albert married Carolyn L. Robinson on February 25, 1962. They enjoyed 63 years of marriage.
Survivors include his loving wife, Carolyn; sons Todd (Karen) Sowers of Lerna, IL, Shawn (Valerie) Sowers of Rossville, IN, and Troy (Michele) Sowers of Peoria, IL; grandchildren Eric (Andrea) Sowers of Chesterfield, MO
